Application engineer automation platform

CIQ builds enterprise infrastructure for demanding workloads, from operating systems to AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and cloud-native orchestration. It supports Rocky Linux and develops enterprise Linux distributions, workload orchestration, cluster provisioning, and automation products for enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain application features using Python for the backend and React/Type Script for the frontend
• Contribute to additional projects built in Go as needed
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively and validate and correct AI-generated output
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ship production-quality code quickly
• Participate in architecture decisions and help define application stack best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve full-stack issues
• Support other internal engineering initiatives as bandwidth allows

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development
• Hands-on experience with React, Type Script, JavaScript, and NPM
• Ability to work at a fast pace and handle high volumes of work
• Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools and the critical thinking to assess their output
• Comfort working across the full stack, with an emphasis on backend systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-directed work ethic
• Friendly, collaborative, humble, honest, and improvement-oriented attitude 6–8+ Years of professional software development experience
• Proven track record building and shipping production applications in Python and modern JavaScript/Type Script frameworks
