The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the supply chain operations for the logistics team. This role involves coordinating the efficient and timely movement of goods, ensuring that all logistics processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills required.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Plan and manage the transportation of goods including scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of product
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation companies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
- Monitor and manage inventory
- Prepare and maintain all necessary shipping and receiving documentation
- Ensure all logistic activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Address and resolve any issues related to transportation, delivery, or inventory discrepancies.
- Use logistics software and tools to optimize efficiencies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to shipping, delivery times, and inventory
- Work closely with other departments—such as sales, customer service, and procurement—to ensure alignment of logistics activities
- Provide a clear daily recap of activities, priorities, and outstanding items to ensure a smooth handoff to the next shift
- Provide ongoing support to the transportation and logistic, and sales team as needed
The typically weekly schedule for this role will be Thursdays-Mondays from 2:00PM-10:00PM PT.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, brokerage, or supply chain management
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Analytical skills to assess and improve logistics professionals
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs procedures
The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00. The actual rate offered will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, job‑related knowledge and work location.
