DescriptionHiring immediately. Must have a valid driver’s license. Candidates must be available to work any day of the week. Responsibilities- Picking up the flight schedules for specific airline from dispatch.
- Look/collect final information count to include flight number, type of aircraft, configuration and type of service.
- Locate flights and final/pack specific items on the meal carts.
- Add/check ice cream, condiments, hot entree, check special meals, crew, flight completion and temperature before finalizing flight.
- Identify all discrepancies, inform supervisor and ensure that all missing items are placed on the flight.
- Communicate any problems with the flight to dispatch.
- Hand over flight to flight crew out on the AOA.
- Perform additional duties as needed. Must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications.
- Follow all Ramp Safety and AOA Safety and Security Rules and Regulations.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be minimum age of 21 years or older.
- Must be able to work in extreme heat and/or cold environment or work inside refrigerated areas.
- Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, stand for entire work shift.
- Must have good organizational skills and adapt to frequent changes.
- Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Must have experience driving large delivery trucks.
- Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program.
- Must possess interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with a professional appearance and attitude.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must be able to apply safety standards.
- Must be able to use mobile shelving, carts, ramps, and related airline catering equipment.
- Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends and holidays subject to change due to shift bidding.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year FBI criminal background check to obtain airport SIDA/AOA badge and Customs Seal.
- This is a Union Position - must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days.
- Must be available to work a full-time position, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently. Bend / stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8 – 12 hours a day.
