The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. This role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, safety compliance, and timely fulfillment of customer orders. The Warehouse Supervisor leads and develops warehouse staff while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Operations Management
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor workflow to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Picking & Packing
  • Oversee order picking processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement quality control checks to minimize picking errors.
  • Supervise packing operations to ensure proper packaging and labeling of shipments.
  • Monitor shipping documentation and verify order completeness.
Receiving
  • Supervise receiving operations including unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and system entry of received goods.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized receiving and staging areas.
Inventory Control
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
  • Ensure proper use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
Leadership & Training
  • Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
  • Provide training on safety procedures, equipment use, and warehouse processes.
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience including picking, packing, and receiving.
  • 3+ year of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
