PURPOSE OF POSITION The Warehouse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in efficiently managing our shelter's warehouse operations, ensuring the proper inventory management of items, overseeing incoming donations, fulfilling pull-sheet requests for clients and staff, and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all items stored in the warehouse. Regularly update inventory documents to reflect current stock levels, item descriptions, and locations.

Donation Management:
Receive, sort, and account for incoming donations from various sources. Ensure all donations are properly documented, labeled, and stored according to established procedures.

Pull-Sheet Fulfillment:
Process pull-sheet requests from both clients and staff members in a timely manner. Gather requested items and prepare them for distribution while maintaining detailed records of each transaction.

Distribution Coordination:
Collaborate closely with case managers and other relevant staff to ensure that clients receive requested items in a timely and respectful manner. Coordinate distribution schedules to optimize efficiency.

Warehouse Organization:
Implement and maintain a systematic layout for the warehouse, ensuring items are organized in a logical and accessible manner. Regularly conduct physical counts to verify inventory accuracy.

Cleaning and Maintenance:
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse space. Regularly perform cleaning tasks to create a safe and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and volunteers.

Documentation and Reporting:
Generate reports on inventory levels, donations received, pull-sheet fulfillment rates, and other relevant metrics. Provide regular updates to shelter management regarding warehouse operations.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with the TMM's procurement team to anticipate and communicate inventory needs. Work with volunteers and clients to delegate tasks and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Quality Control:
Conduct periodic checks on items for damage, expiration, or other issues that might affect their usability. Dispose of damaged or expired items responsibly.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of potentially hazardous materials, following established guidelines for lifting and moving heavy items, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS1+ year experience in a warehouse setting preferred

Forklift Operation Certificate is a plus

Must have good to excellent computer skills, ability to perform data entry and familiarity with MSOffice suite.

Should be in good physical condition with good stamina, manual dexterity and able to lift and carry at least fifty pounds.

Good organization and time-management skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Exemplary problem solving skills

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
