Facilities & Operations Technician

Who We Are

Space Kinetic is a cleared, venture-backed startup focused on addressing urgent national security priorities. Our goal is to deliver a suite of asymmetric capabilities for space superiority and missile defense leveraging our proprietary electromechanical deployment system, which enables the rapid deployment of low-cost payloads through space without firing a thruster. Space Kinetic is currently assembling its TRL-5 prototype. Our goal is to leverage this platform to provide the United States with a new tool for securing the space domain & catalyzing the emerging space economy.

We are seeking an Operations Assistant to support daily facility organization, maintenance follow‑up, inventory support, and general operational tasks at our El Segundo location. This role helps maintain an organized work environment, supports material handling, and assists with day‑to‑day operational needs across the facility.

• Help maintain organization and cleanliness across operational areas
• Support organization and upkeep of the tool crib
• Track basic inventory and assist with material organization
• Help receive and organize deliveries and supplies
• Support maintenance follow‑up and basic facility needs
• Assist with stocking, labeling, and organizing tools and materials
• Work closely with inventory control on material placement and tracking
• Help maintain clean and organized storage areas
• Support general operational tasks as needed across the facility

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in facility support, warehouse support, operations, or similar environment preferred
• Organized and detail‑oriented
• Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment
• Able to lift and move materials as needed
  
  Reliability and follow‑through
• Basic spreadsheet or inventory tracking familiarity is a plus
• Comfortable supporting multiple operational tasks

• $28.00 hourly

• The position is an onsite role at our headquarters in El Segundo, CA. Domestic travel may be required (up to ~20% of the year).

The annual base salary for this role is below. Pay Grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job‑related skills, relevant education/experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.

Pay Range: $26 USD - $28 USD
