Forklift Operator, Material Handler
We are looking for hard-working, reliable and safety minded individuals to join our team as an Auto De-Pollution Laborer. You will be responsible for the work on vehicle de-pollution rack to remove fluids from vehicles before crushing, unloading, processing, and disassembly of various types of scrap metal; yard clean up and maintenance; and other general physical labor duties to ensure the highest quality of scrap material is processed and shipped to our customers in a safe, effective manner.
Responsibilities- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
- Car processing and extract chemicals from discarded appliances, such as air conditioners or refrigerators, using specialized machinery.
- Sort materials into appropriate containers for recycling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items.
- Work on vehicle de-pollution rack to remove fluids from vehicles before crushing.
- Perform daily inspections on equipment reporting any defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
- Willing to work in outdoor all weather conditions.
- Committed to safety.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) – a plus.
- Responsible, honesty and integrity.
- Reliable.
- Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.
- Must pass background check.
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Equipment & Tools:
Yard equipment, hand tools, and PPE. - Physical Demand Level: Moderate to heavy.
