System Engineer, DSP

Asthe System Engineer of Coherent Optical DSPandTransceivers,youwilljoinasmallteamandplayapivotal roleinthedesign,development,testing,andvalidationofopticaltransceiversforuseindatacomandtelecom
networks.

Arycs Technologies is lookingforasubjectmatterexpertwhowillworkcloselywithcross-functional
teams,includingthedigitalsignalprocessing(DSP)
ASICandopticaltransceiverdesignteamstoensurethat the product meetstheindustrystandardsandourcustomers’requirements.

Thefocuswillbeoninnovatingandimprovingthe

DSPalgorithmstooptimizetheperformanceandlowerpowerconsumptionofthecoherentoptical

DSPASICsandtheopticaltransceivers.

• Workasakeymemberofthe
  
  DSPASICsystemengineeringteamtoinnovate,developandvalidatesystem-levelmodelsofcoherent
  
  DSPalgorithms(bothinfloating-pointandfixed-point arithmetic), and analog RF andopticaldeviceshousedinouropticaltransceivers.
• Evaluateperformanceofopticaltransceiversutilizingsystem-levelmodelsthrough simulationsinvarious fibertransmissionconditionstoensureproductmeetssystem requirements.
• Developspecificationsandsupportdocumentsforallsimulationcomponentsandenvironmentsincluding characterization and validation plans.
• Collaboratewiththe
  
  DSPASICteamatlargeinimplementationandverificationofthe
  
  DSPalgorithmsto create optimized DSPASICs.
• Proactivelyidentifyandimplementimprovementsinthedesignsofallopticaltransceivercomponentsto optimize performanceandtoreducepowerconsumptionandthecostofourproducts.

• Advanceddegreein Electrical Engineering ,System Engineering,Physicsorrelatedfield.
• MS with5+yearsor
  
  PhDwith3+yearsofrelevantindustryexperience.
• Experiencemodelingandsimulationofend-to- end digital communication systems using MATLAB,
  Simulink,Python,orC/C++.
• Experienceinopticalcommunicationcomponentsandsystemmodelingandsimulationisaplus.
• Demonstratedexperienceworkingwithhighspeedoptical,RF,andoptoelectroniccomponents-lasers,
  andPICsis preferred.
• Willingness and ability totravelforcollaborativemeetingswithopticaltransceiverdesignteammembers(~5-10%).
