About the role

Asthe System Engineerof Coherent Optical DSPandTransceivers,youwilljoinasmallteamandplayapivotal roleinthedesign,development,testing,andvalidationofopticaltransceiversforuseindatacomandtelecom
networks.

Arycs Technologies is lookingforasubjectmatterexpertwhowillworkcloselywithcross-functional
teams,includingthedigitalsignalprocessing(DSP)
ASICandopticaltransceiverdesignteamstoensurethat the product meetstheindustrystandardsandourcustomers’requirements.

ThefocuswillbeoninnovatingandimprovingtheDSPalgorithmstooptimizetheperformanceandlowerpowerconsumptionofthecoherentopticalDSPASICsandtheopticaltransceivers.

Job Overview:
  • WorkasakeymemberoftheDSPASICsystemengineeringteamtoinnovate,developandvalidatesystem-levelmodelsofcoherentDSPalgorithms(bothinfloating-pointandfixed-pointarithmetic), and analog RF andopticaldeviceshousedinouropticaltransceivers.
  • Evaluateperformanceofopticaltransceiversutilizingsystem-levelmodelsthrough simulationsinvarious fibertransmissionconditionstoensureproductmeetssystem requirements.
  • Developspecificationsandsupportdocumentsforallsimulationcomponentsandenvironmentsincluding characterization and validationplans.
  • CollaboratewiththeDSPASICteamatlargeinimplementationandverificationoftheDSPalgorithmsto create optimized DSPASICs.
  • Proactivelyidentifyandimplementimprovementsinthedesignsofallopticaltransceivercomponentsto optimize performanceandtoreducepowerconsumptionandthecostofourproducts.
Requirements:
  • Advanceddegreein Electrical Engineering ,System Engineering,Physicsorrelatedfield.
  • MS with5+yearsor

    PhDwith3+yearsofrelevantindustryexperience.
  • Experiencemodelingandsimulationofend-to- enddigital communication systems using MATLAB,
    Simulink,Python,orC/C++.
  • Experienceinopticalcommunicationcomponentsandsystemmodelingandsimulationisaplus.
  • Demonstratedexperienceworkingwithhighspeedoptical,RF,andoptoelectroniccomponents-lasers,
    andPICsis preferred.
  • Willingness and ability totravelforcollaborativemeetingswithopticaltransceiverdesignteammembers(~5-10%).
