Job Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Record daily treatment and weekly progress notes in accordance with OT Board regulations
• Assist in patient treatment per physician’s plan
• Support nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides
• Communicate with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress and issues
• Participate in in-service training for staff
• Document evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, recertification, and ensure compliance with state and third-party requirements
• Record treatment adjustments as per policies
• Educate patients’ families and nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training, participate in discharge planning
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of treatment areas
• Report equipment issues for proper maintenance
• Maintain positive, effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and colleagues

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License
