The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in coordinating the daily operations, projects, staff support functions, and resident services of Rinconada Hills Association.

The AGM serves as a member of the management team and assists in implementing Board policies and operational priorities under the direction of the General Manager. The position requires initiative, adaptability, strong organizational skills, and a service-oriented approach to community management.

The Assistant General Manager supports the Board of Directors through the authority and direction of the General Manager and does not serve as direct staff to the Board.

Association staff, committees, vendors, and residents in support of management operations.

Key Responsibilities Operational Support
  • Assist with coordination and follow-through of maintenance requests and operational projects
  • Support CC&R compliance coordination and homeowner correspondence
  • Maintain operational records and internal management systems
  • Assist with community communications, website updates, and e-blasts
  • Support preparation of the monthly community newsletter
  • Respond to after-hours Association matters as directed
Board & Committee Support
  • Assist with preparation of Board and Committee agendas, reports, and materials
  • Attend monthly Board meetings and assigned Committee meetings
  • Provide virtual meeting coordination (Zoom) and technical support
  • Track projects, action items, and open forum follow-up items
  • Assist with invoice review and GL coding as directed
  • Coordinate submission of payables to the Association’s accounting provider
  • Assist with financial documentation preparation
  • Research homeowner accounting inquiries
  • Review homeowner billing accounts and assist with collections coordination
  • Assist the General Manager with staff supervision and operational coordination
  • Monitor maintenance team time tracking and scheduling
  • Coordinate Traffic Control staffing as directed
  • Serve as Safety Coordinator and assist with safety meetings
  • Support internal staff communication and organization
Landscape & Community Support
  • Assist with coordination between landscape staff, contractors, and management
  • Track homeowner landscape requests and project updates
  • Maintain landscape documentation and reports
  • Support coordination of annual landscape and tree walks
Community Events
  • Support community event planning and logistics
  • Assist with vendor coordination, staffing organization, and event promotion
  • Support event setup and post-event operations
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in community association management, property management, hospitality, or customer service leadership preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College coursework or degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and professional experience considered
  • Experience coordinating operations, projects, or staff strongly desired
  • CCAM or CMCA certification preferred or ability to obtain
