Infection Control Nurse LVN

Position Overview

Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse – LVN to join our team. This full-time, benefitted position is responsible for leading and maintaining an effective infection prevention and control program to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the facility’s Infection Prevention & Control Program

Monitor, investigate, track, and report infections per CDC, state, and federal guidelines

Educate and train staff on infection prevention policies and best practices

Conduct audits, surveillance, and risk assessments; analyze trends and outcomes

Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams

Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and surveys

Ensure adherence to OSHA, CDC, and public health standards

Qualifications

Active LVN license in good standing

Infection Prevention experience in skilled nursing or healthcare preferred

Knowledge of CDC guidelines, NHSN reporting, and regulatory requirements

Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Starting at $46/hour, dependent on experience
