Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer (L4) to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise solutions for global Finance and Tax teams. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and close collaboration with cross‑functional business and engineering stakeholders.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality applications and integrations that support critical financial operations and business processes.

• Design, develop, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications and services.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Tax stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver end‑to‑end technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across finance, engineering, and product teams to solve complex business challenges.
• Develop robust APIs, integrations, and distributed systems to support internal platforms and applications.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and implementation planning.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery by following SDLC best practices, testing standards, and QA processes.
• Provide post‑production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements for deployed solutions.
• Contribute to UI development for internal and external portals using modern front‑end technologies.

• Proven experience developing enterprise‑level applications and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
  Python, MySQL, and experience designing and implementing APIs using gRPC, Graph
  
  QL, SOAP.
• Solid understanding of distributed data processing, software engineering design principles, and data modeling concepts.
• Front‑end development experience, preferably with React.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while remaining detail‑oriented and adaptable.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and consistently exceed expectations.

• Prior or current techno‑functional experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, Workday, and recent experience with Workday Studio is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting Finance or Tax‑related business applications is a plus.
