Engineering Manager - Client Delivery & Observability

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Client Delivery & Observability (CDO) team, a newly formed group that owns the release delivery automation platform and the real‑time observability stack, ensuring every client release, server canary, and A/B test is safely delivered and continuously monitored.

• Lead two squads spanning distinct technical domains, hiring, coaching, and growing a high‑performing team of engineers while fostering a strong, unified team identity.
• Devise and execute a unified roadmap that balances release delivery infrastructure and real‑time observability systems, rationalize priorities, and guide the team toward reliable, scalable design.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships with client platform, streaming infrastructure, experimentation, developer productivity, and device reliability groups, translating partner requirements into engineering goals.
• Own reliability and operational health of production systems, drive incident response practices, maintain sustainable on‑call rotations, and balance reliability investments against feature delivery.

• 10+ years of software or data engineering experience with strong depth in distributed systems and large‑scale data processing or CI/CD infrastructure.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience, including experience managing or coordinating multiple sub‑teams or squads with distinct charters.
• Domain experience in real‑time data pipelines, release automation & CI/CD infrastructure, or experimentation platforms.
• Demonstrable experience leading shared tooling, infrastructure, or platform features that enable other engineering teams to move faster and more reliably.
• Experience managing distributed or hybrid engineering teams across multiple time zones.

• Proficiency in data‑driven decision making, rapid iteration, and strategic communication across technical domains.
