About the Role
The Ads Pricing and Packaging team is responsible for developing cutting‑edge inventory management systems that support various monetization strategies, including dynamic pricing, rate‑card management, product packaging, inventory segmentation, and yield optimization. The team focuses on building high‑performance advertising systems and delivering high impact to the business by monetizing Netflix’s content library.
TeamThe team is part of the Ads Platform Engineering organization, collaborating with engineering, product, and strategy groups across the company.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain inventory management solutions that support monetization strategies such as dynamic pricing, rate‑card management, product packaging, inventory split, and yield management.
- Apply a general understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape, with a focus on publisher‑side challenges such as optimizing fill rates and maximizing revenue.
- Design and develop cloud‑based applications using modern programming languages, object‑oriented design, and maintainability.
- Work with distributed systems and microservices; design data storage using No
SQL databases and queue systems such as Apache Kafka. - Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices to ensure reliable and efficient delivery of services.
- Drive large and complex projects in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Professional experience building inventory management solutions or similar monetization systems.
- Strong understanding of inventory management concepts (dynamic pricing, rate‑card management, yield optimization).
- Experience with cloud‑based applications and familiarity with object‑oriented programming.
- Background in distributed systems, microservices, and No
SQL data stores. - Knowledge of queues such as Apache Kafka and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Contribution to ad industry technology standards (e.g., VAST, OpenRTB) or participation in industry consortium efforts.
- Familiarity with legal compliance and the evolving landscape of global ad regulations.
- Experience in the Connected TV (CTV) space and knowledge of its constraints.
Compensation for this position is a fixed annual salary. The salary range for this role is $ – $.
