The Role
Netflix continues to shape the future of entertainment by helping over 300million members choose movies, shows, or games that suit their context. The core mission of this role is to craft and communicate a strategic roadmap for core personalization, leveraging new AI technologies and data to improve recommendation quality. You will lead cross‑functional teams—including AI scientists, engineers, consumer insights researchers, and human data sourcing partners—to execute on this vision and drive measurable product impact across millions of users.
This position is based in Los Gatos or Los Angeles (preferred) with a hybrid model. Remote candidates on the West Coast may be considered, and occasional travel to either office is required.

You bring a technical background combined with strong product sense and excellent communication. You enjoy experimentation, possess statistical acumen, and can collaborate with world‑class engineers, data scientists, and designers. Proven experience building consumer‑facing applications and algorithms, especially in the entertainment domain, is highly valued.
Skills- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with personalized, consumer‑facing products.
- Experience creating and managing evaluations.
- Experience managing ML‑driven consumer products such as recommendation systems, with a record of launching impactful features or platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership working effectively with data scientists, engineers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent written communication and ability to present technical content to non‑technical audiences.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to incorporate larger business context into algorithm and product development.
The compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary with no bonus. The range for this role is $310,000 – $545,000. Benefits include health plans, mental health support, a 401(k) with employer match, stock options, disability programs, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, family‑forming benefits, life and serious injury benefits, and paid leave. Full‑time hourly employees accrue 35 days of paid time off annually;
salaried employees receive immediate flexible time off.
