Controller, Valencia County Hospital

Valencia County Hospital is seeking a Hospital Controller for our new hospital currently under construction in Los Lunas, NM. Owned by Valencia County and operated through a joint venture between Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) and Lovelace Health System, this startup facility represents a vital investment in rural healthcare. The Hospital Controller oversees all accounting operations of the hospital, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash management, internal controls, and financial compliance.

The Controller ensures financial statements are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), healthcare regulations, and organizational policies. Major Responsibilities Financial Management Direct all hospital accounting operations. Maintain the general ledger. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare accurate financial statements. Ensure timely reporting to executive leadership and the Board. Analyze financial performance and identify trends.
