The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach 1000 and 2000 level Physical Education courses. This will be a recruitment for spring 2026 semester.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of The University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Technical certification dependent on the instructional specialty (AFAA, ACE, NETA, NASM, etc.)

* At least one year of teaching experience. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* A bachelor's degree in Physical Education or directly-related field

* First Aid and CPR Instructor's Certificate

* If course is online or hybrid, appropriate certification/training to teach online is required

* A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
