School of Dreams Academy is currently hiring highly qualified general education elementary school teachers for all grade levels for the 2026‑2027 school year. We have several openings at our elementary school and welcome all applicants.

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Current New Mexico Department of Education license appropriate to the assignment or ability to obtain proper licensure within 90 days of hire

• Efficient organizational ability
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding students, staff, parents, and school matters

• Coordinate teaching program with site-based goals and district-wide objectives
• Implement approved curricula to achieve student learning at appropriate state standards and benchmarks level for each grade
• Arrange physical environment of the classroom for optimum learning and safety of students
• Use and apply appropriate conflict resolution skills with students
• Maintain positive attitude and ensure classroom environment is conducive to student learning
• Develop goals and objectives for self, group, and student academic achievement, maintaining documentation to assure accountability
• Provide appropriate instructional classroom activities for students; maintain order in the assigned classroom
• Maintain records of student performance and attendance
• Complete required reports and report cards within prescribed time frames
• Maintain appropriate contact with parents/guardians regarding student progress, arrange for and attend parent/teacher conferences
• Attend staff meetings and in‑service training activities
• Demonstrate competent technology skills
• Demonstrate the competencies as required by Regulation Title 6, Chapter 69, Part 4.12 New Mexico Administrators Code Performance Evaluation System Requirements for Teachers
• Adhere to Code of Ethics as outlined in section 6.60.9 of the New Mexico Administrators Code
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Work hours are established in the employment contract. Additional work hours may be assigned by the School Principal.

• Copy of Professional License OR copy of licensure application sent to NMPED OR a written statement regarding the status of your NM licensure
• Copy of transcript from each crediting college or university
