Bookkeeper job  Lunas, NM. Salary: $18 - $25 per hour

Join our dynamic team as a Consulting Bookkeeper and play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations. We are a leading company in the finance industry, providing top-notch financial services to a broad range of clients. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned bookkeeper to showcase their expertise in managing financial records and transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, including experience in creating journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations.

This position requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and updating financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Preparing and managing journal entries and adjustments.
  • Conducting regular bank reconciliations and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
  • Providing financial advice and guidance to clients based on their specific financial situations.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
  • Resolving financial discrepancies and irregularities promptly and accurately.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex accounting issues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) or a similar body is a plus.
