JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and University fiscal policies. Working under direct supervision, this entry-level position supports the integrity of the University's financial operations by assisting with vendor, employee, and student payment activities and by helping ensure compliance with established procedures and audit standards.
The Accounts Payable Specialist applies attention to detail and follows defined procedures in handling purchase orders, invoices, and disbursements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research outstanding vendor invoice statements and communicate with vendors regarding payment status. Forward discrepancies to supervisory staff and follow up to ensure timely resolutions. Process student Bank Mobile refunds. Send timely communications to university personnel to validate receipt of goods and services.
