Controller ​/ CFO

Job responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of local, state and federal tax filings
• Prepare Budgets and Report budget variances to executives
• Develop and maintain internal controls
• Help Manage cash flow
• Lead internal audits
• Assists owner with Job Costing and Billing.
• Coordinates insurance program for the company with insurance agents
• (General Liability Insurance, Workers Compensation and Health Insurance, etc.).
• Works with operations personnel (Project Managers, etc.) to see that jobs
• are properly accounted for and closed timely and invoiced.
• Assists outside CPA firm with preparation for annual Reviewed Financial Statements.
• Reconciles G/L accounts and bank accounts.
• Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations.
• Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Keep current on latest technology and help implement as needed.
• Delegates tasks and oversees accounting clerks.

• Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required unless CPA.
• At least 7 years’ experience of solid accrual basis accounting experience, including some
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations.
• MUST have Construction industry Job Costing experience.
