Role Description The Tax Staff / Tax Senior position is a part-time, on-site role based in Kenner, LA, offering a flexible schedule and year-round employment. In this role, the team member will prepare individual and business tax returns, assist with tax planning, and ensure accurate tax compliance for a diverse client base. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial information, reconciling accounts, supporting the preparation of financial statements, and responding to client inquiries regarding tax matters.
The role also involves collaborating with other team members to meet filing deadlines, maintain documentation, and contribute to process improvements. The position is designed for a professional who values direct client interaction and steady, ongoing work throughout the year.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in tax-focused work, including Tax Preparation and Tax Compliance.
- Strong understanding of Tax principles and current federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience working with Financial Statements, including preparation and review.
- Solid Accounting skills, including general ledger work and account reconciliation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA designation is a plus.
- Prior experience in public accounting or tax practice, preferably with small and mid-sized business clients.
- Ability to work on-site in Kenner, LA, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
