What You’ll Actually Do

Cost Accounting:
Perform general cost accounting duties, including data and journal entries, with an emphasis on job costs.
Financial Statements:
Prepare periodic monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank and customer accounts at least monthly, verifying deposits and addressing bank inquiries.
Accounts Payable:
Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Audit Assistance:
Provide support to outside auditors by gathering necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.

The Must-Haves

Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with foundational knowledge of general financial accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Experience:

0-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally with an emphasis on job cost accounting.
Skills:

Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a corporate environment.
Bonus:
Versed in the energy infrastructure industry and familiar with the Company’s competitors.
