Accountant – Sustainability, AR Focus

• Perform general cost accounting and related accounting department duties, including data and journal entries
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Verify payment of accounts payable invoices and ensure payments are charged to appropriate accounts
• Assist outside auditors by gathering account information and documents for the annual audit
• Perform filing, scanning, and record-keeping duties
• Administer credit applications, contracts, performance and payment bonds, certificates of insurance, and licenses
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 0–5 years experience
• Knowledge of general financial accounting
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with others and follow supervisory instructions in a corporate environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
• Ability to travel 0–5% of the time to job site(s)/office locations
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds

Demonstrates expertise in general cost accounting, financial reporting, and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient in managing accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and supporting audit processes while maintaining strong organizational and communication skills.
