Location: New Orleans

We are looking for a Plant Coordinator to join our team in New Orleans, LA
. As a Plant Coordinator with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative functions to support the Plant Leadership Team including but not limited to coordinating events, meetings and maintaining calendars; filing and organizing employee safety and training records; and composing and sending plant communication notices electronically or posting on bulletin boards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide varied administrative support to the plant personnel.
  • Facilitate preparation of plantwide meetings and dignitary visits (clean rooms, PPE ready).
  • Organize monthly birthday lunch meetings, remind supervisors.
  • Maintain the “Receptionist” system, along with employee contact list and gather site specific information.
  • Order office supplies for main office, production and packhouse associates.
  • Maintain Plant Employee Training Records.
  • Schedule Annual Hearing Tests and Maintain Attendance Records/Results.
  • Schedule Respirator Fit Testing Maintain Attendance Records/Results.
  • Maintain employee & phone lists, creating security gate badges for new hires, maintain seniority list.
  • Maintain Plant Bulletin Boards, Update Broadcasting
    - PowerPoint presentations daily or weekly and upload updates to the TV Enplug.
  • Coordinate Logistics for formal Training Classes.
  • Demonstrated experience simultaneously managing multiple and complicated situations and solving issues which arrive daily in an office environment.
  • Answer incoming calls and greet visitors ensuring that all visitors to the plant sign in and are aware of the plant safety regulations and have proper PPE.
  • Replenish and maintain office supplies/soft drinks as needed for visitors.
  • Distribute mail (letters and packages) and prepare outgoing mail for shipment and take to the post office.
  • Organize/order lunches for visitors, special events and training in coordination with managers and training coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate filing system.
  • Assist operations manager and other staff members with various requests.
  • Enter raw material receipts into JDE daily.
  • Enter raw material tonnages on spreadsheet; enter receipts daily. Check at the end of each raw material that all ticket numbers and tonnages have been entered correctly. Receipt inquiry.
  • Check invoices to ensure receipt matches invoices in JDE.
  • Manage operational standards for property lawn care and vegetation removal, pest control and Office Cleaning and sanitation Crew.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience, preferably in an administrative or support role within a manufacturing environment, to manage day-to-day office operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), strong verbal/written communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of payroll, bookkeeping, and safety protocols.
