The Quality
Administrative Assistant will support the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Safety and Mission Assurance Services II (SMAS II) contract located in New Orleans, LA.
The Quality Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and document control support to the Quality Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage daily office operations, including ordering office supplies, serving as the primary point of contact for visitors and staff, and ensuring efficient workflow coordination.
- Scan, organize, and electronically file quality assurance and program documentation to maintain accurate and accessible records.
- Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and communicate with personnel at NASA MSFC and other SLS hub locations.
- Review and draft administrative correspondence, manage electronic files, and maintain organizational distribution lists
- Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy filing systems in compliance with organizational procedures and document retention policies.
- Create, edit, and update documentation using Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Assist with data entry, document tracking, and records management activities to support operational efficiency.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Quality team and completed additional assigned duties as needed.
- Ensure records are properly labeled, archived, and maintained for quick and efficient retrieval.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
- Must have a high school or equivalent diploma.
- Must have 2+ years of progressive administrative or office support experience.
- Experience coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and calendars.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should be comfortable with adapting to changing environments (work assignments, customers) quickly in support of the mission.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIREDAll Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.
STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

- Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
- Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
- Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
- Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
- Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
