The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.
This position may be filled in the following parishes:
Jefferson
The Administrative Coordinator 3 position assists Disability Determinations Examiners by receiving, screening, assigning and disposing claims filed under the Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income programs. These duties require independent judgement to assist in the adjudicative process.

- Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
- Review cases as they arrive to ensure appropriate information is included.
- Perform operations in state and federal computer systems.
- Maintain electronic data systems.
- Process mail and monitor mailroom equipment and supplies.
- Answer telephones and answer questions based on case records.

- Selected individuals will undergo a complete federal background investigation and SSA suitability process for access to disability data.
