The Centralized Adjudication Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in New Orleans, LA. This position is responsible for managing the centralized adjudication process for matters such as citations, fines, or administrative hearings, ensuring cases are handled accurately, consistently, and in compliance with local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing documentation and case files, preparing and issuing correspondence, scheduling and coordinating hearings, and maintaining detailed records in relevant systems.
The Administrator works closely with internal departments, adjudication officers, and members of the public to provide clear information, answer questions, and support fair resolution of cases. The role also involves generating reports, monitoring workflow to meet deadlines, and recommending improvements to procedures and public-facing communications.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including case file management, scheduling, and recordkeeping.
- Proficiency with office software and case management systems, including data entry, report generation, and document preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly and respond to public inquiries professionally.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn municipal codes, adjudication procedures, and compliance requirements relevant to city operations.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to review documentation, identify discrepancies, and support fair and consistent decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases or tasks while meeting deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in public administration, criminal justice, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in adjudication, legal support, government administration, or a similar regulatory or compliance environment is beneficial.
