Position Summary
Received by the Nursing Program in the School of Applied Health. This temporary, full‑time, exempt position reports to the Dean of the College, with oversight to the Nursing Director and School of Applied Health Department Chair.
Key Responsibilities- Accreditation and Academic Program Review – 20%
- Administrative support for the program’s accreditation process with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and for institutional accreditation and academic program review.
- Maintain currency with accreditation standards, processes, and regulations as well as academic program review requirements.
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and write accreditation and academic program review reports.
- Maintain an organized list of current students and alumni with contact information and related program information.
- Input necessary alumni and employer contact information for exit surveys and focus groups.
- Compliance – 10%
- Coordinate compliance via creating and maintaining databases and communication and monitoring systems for all relevant health clearance requirements, regulations, accreditation requirements, and agency contract requirements.
- Student Support – 15%
- Serve as the program’s student point of contact for student transactions.
- Facilitate paperwork and maintain program student records related to registration, student contracts, and all other student transactions.
- Triage student questions related to registration, course permission numbers, and add/drop process for courses requiring department/program approval.
- Meeting and Event Coordination – 10%
- Schedule and coordinate all aspects of meetings and special events such as graduation receptions, visiting lecturer presentations, guest presentations, and program meetings and retreats.
- Prepare and distribute promotional materials concerning special events and activities.
- Attend program meetings and ensure minutes are recorded.
- Plan and/or attend events related to recruitment.
- Program Marketing, Promotion, and Communication – 20%
- Use multimedia programs to create presentations, documents and other materials to meet academic and administrative goals.
- Coordinate alumni correspondence from the program.
- Ensure the program website content is accurate and current.
- Maintain and oversee the program’s social media presence.
- Administrative Duties – 20%
- Facilitate course schedule development in collaboration with Director and community college partners.
- Review course catalog for accuracy and program requirements.
- Coordinate retrieval and processing of applications from admissions and ensure acceptance/denial letters from the program are accurate.
- Respond to student inquiries about the program.
- Maintain and organize the program’s Google Drive.
- Other duties as assigned – 5%

- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population.
- Working knowledge of standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program and/or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
- Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program and/or administrative specialty.
- Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
- Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
- Skill in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs, including collecting, evaluating, and interpreting data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
- Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.
