Position OverviewWe’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Welfare Office in Tangipahoa Parish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.
This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Washington Parish Child Welfare office.

Job Duties- Greets visitors in a cordial manner and maintains office procedure.
- Receives correspondence and notifies staff of receipt.
- Creates purchase orders.
- Inputs invoices into Vendor Invoice Portal.
- Office Space Utilizations Quarterly Reports
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Administrative Coordinator 1-3, depending on selected applicant.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
Work Location: Covington Region (Washington Parish)
