The Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Program Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting institutional operations through advanced administrative, programmatic, and organizational work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

  • Making Accurate Judgments:
    The ability to assess options, weigh risks, and make sound decisions using available information and logical reasoning.
  • Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
    Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

The Administrative Program Specialist will be responsible for coordinating program activities, preparing complex reports, tracking operational data, assisting with policy implementation, and providing high-level administrative support to leadership. This role requires a proactive professional who can work independently, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the facility.
