This role exists to create, communicate, and update a maintenance weekly/day schedule from job plans, daily progress updates and Operations Maintenance Coordinator input on job priority and targets for job completion. The role creates a schedule to fully utilize all labor capacity on site.

• Plans and allocates Maintenance resources for effective resource leveraging and full net capacity utilization.
• Receives work order with job plans and checks for completeness (all required information).
• Sets net capacity for the crafts based on information about the area daily and turnaround schedule and the related available resources.
• Assists in the update of the jobs to be included in the “weekly schedule.”
• Identify resource requirements for the scheduled jobs using the job plans.
• Sends out Active/ RSCD backlog to the area Operations Maintenance Coordinators to review with their teams, select jobs required next week and identify jobs that cannot be done next week.
• Uses the backlog selection from the Operations Maintenance Coordinator to build the “weekly schedule” making the most effective and efficient use of available resources and issuing the schedule.
• Builds the weekly schedule for each day of the following week, with start and end times and duration based on resource estimates in the plan.
• Works with the Operations Maintenance Coordinator in building future week schedules (this is used as the “look ahead” for schedule management)
• Distributes the “weekly schedule” for the next week.
• Distributes the ‘daily schedule’ for the next day.
• Schedules the job which will initiate the issue of kitted materials.
• Identifies resource leveraging opportunities across the site.
• Communicates daily / weekly scheduling status.
• Leads the weekly and daily scheduling meetings.
• Ensures schedule is updated daily based on progress reports.
• Monitors/reviews performance measures.
• Leads scheduling improvement efforts, following the Maintenance Work Process.
• Completes input for updating SAP.
• Participate in systems’ (such as SAP) support functions (i.e. changes to programs, functionality and testing).
• Generates data and reports for businesses.
• Acts as a problem solver for technical aspects of the scheduling process.
• Participates in site scheduling networks.
• Helps lead / coach daily planners to ensure consistency and accuracy of all planned jobs.
• Manages the “Active / RSCD” Backlog. Leads the “Active / RSCD” backlog monthly review meetings.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and complete company-required training programs.
• Ensure that the activities are carried out comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care requirements).
• Prepare detailed maintenance plans for all major equipment. Plans should include detailed schedules of all tasks to be performed, the necessary resources allocated both internal and external, the preparation of all work descriptions for outsourced activities and the identification and ordering of critical spares…
