PositionSummary
The Senior Technician role requires expertise in diagnosing drivability and electrical systems and leadership in mentoring a team to deliver excellent customer care and satisfaction.
Location:
Nashville, Tennessee.
$18.54 – $30.76 per hour, based on regionally averaged productivity. This is a flat‑rate, performance‑based compensation model.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to non‑mechanical customers.
- Maintain current knowledge of automotive technology through paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment (tests and registration fees are paid by the company, and a bonus is awarded for each test passed).
- Valid automobile driver’s license, able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering, suspension and alignments.
- Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where applicable.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non‑technical individuals.
- Reading, writing, and math proficiency.
- 3+ years of automotive repair experience.
- Demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications, or completion of a Vocational/Technical School Program.
- ASE certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 certification acceptable).
