Acura​/Honda Technician

About the Role:

As a Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer-specific software. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, complex repairs, and system calibrations in accordance with Acura and Honda standards. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Ultimately, your work will contribute to the reputation of the dealership or service center by delivering reliable and efficient vehicle service to customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited automotive technology program or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent, with preference for certifications related to engine repair, electrical systems, and brakes.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and read technical manuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working specifically with Acura and Honda vehicles.
• Manufacturer‑specific training or certification from Acura/Honda.
• Strong understanding of hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to mentor junior technicians and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on Acura and Honda vehicles using manufacturer‑specific diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements according to Acura/Honda guidelines.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
• Stay current with technical service bulletins, recalls, and updates from Acura and Honda to ensure compliance and optimal repair procedures.
