Our department Mercedes-Benz Cars Einkauf und Lieferantenqualität deals with these trends long before our customers can experience these technologies in the vehicle. Our employees work here at the interface between classic automotive business and the implementation of innovative developments in and around the vehicle - and that worldwide at our locations in Germany, USA, South Africa, China, India, Mexico, and Argentina.
These challenges come to you, among others:
- Preparation and participation in supplier talks/negotiations
- Cross-functional, international cooperation with internal and external contacts
- Participation in the operational purchasing business (preparations in Excel/PowerPoint, preparation and follow-up of negotiations)
- Participation in the creation, evaluation, and negotiation of resourcing scopes
- Creation of request documents and offer compilations
- Creation of part life cycles
- Building and comparison of different business cases based on predicted quantities/costs
- Tracking of change management process, coordination of quantities with development and series management and communication to suppliers
- Participation in the organization of workshops, offer presentations, and supplier talks
- Evaluation and independent analysis of purchasing key figures
The activity can start from September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office
- Practical experience in creating presentation documents is an advantage
- Communication and presentation skills
- Commitment, reliability, and team capability
- Analytical mindset and strategic working method
- Enthusiasm for new topics
