Location: Gretna

The Director manages an assigned client base by supporting division leaders to develop and implement people strategies that positively impact business goals. The role drives performance‑management outcomes at the operating division level, optimizes the workforce, designs and executes organizational‑level staffing plans to ensure the division has the right skills and capabilities to achieve business objectives, manages risk and ensures readiness for compliance with employment law, regulatory requirements, and workplace safety.

The Director also ensures effective communications across the division and develops and implements strategies for recognition, training, benefits, and compensation programs to drive employee engagement and retention.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
Work Experience
  • 6+ years of related experience in operations or healthcare
  • HR expertise and experience in performance management, employment law, employee relations, staffing workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and fundamental compensation and benefits principles
Certifications
  • None required
  • PHR/SPHR preferred

Job Duties
  • Drive division business outcomes (labor, turnover, engagement)
  • Improve leadership capabilities (performance management, succession planning and talent review)
  • Conduct workforce planning (staffing, quality of hires, workforce optimization)
  • Maintain effective communications and collaboration with COE’s (local training, benefits, compensation)
  • Ensure compliance and minimize risk (employee relations, workplace safety, regulatory compliance)

The Director remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards and regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Light work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly when moving objects. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, stoop, bend, reach and manipulate with arms and hands, and travel between facilities. No occupational risk for exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue.

Possibility of exposure to hazardous medications or waste depending on essential duties.
