We are searching for an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the New Orleans Convention Center located in New Orleans, LA!

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving the successful execution of complex programs and procurement strategies. You will collaborate across multiple departments to ensure alignment, optimize processes, and support growth initiatives that enhance overall business performance.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Sales, Supply Management, and Finance to ensure seamless implementation and execution of client programs and procurement strategies.
• Manage procurement activities such as supplier/vendor relationships, contract negotiation, purchase requisitions, order processing, and compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Drive product and category management initiatives including product specification alignment, rationalization, pricing strategy, and supplier performance monitoring to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery.
• Lead and support teams by providing training, guidance, and coordination to achieve operational efficiency, meet financial goals, and promote continuous improvement.
• Analyze sales, procurement, and operational data to identify opportunities, inform strategic decision-making, and enhance overall business performance.
• Serve as a central point of contact and liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate communication, problem resolution, and alignment of goals across divisions and regions.
