Job Site Supervisor – Agricultural Construction

IA | Central/South IL | Central/North MO

If you’re tired of juggling 5–6 sites at once, fighting for approvals, or living on the road indefinitely…this role was built to fix that. We’re adding a Job Site Supervisor to run one project at a time, with real authority on the jobsite and a direct line to the President. You’ll own execution from ground break to closeout—without bureaucracy, chaos, or burnout.

This is a role for a construction leader who wants clarity, accountability, and control—not firefighting. Most of the jobs are spread across Central/North MO, IA, and Central/South IL so you can live anywhere in the area as you will travel to the jobsite for work each week.

If you want to own the work instead of surviving it, keep reading.

What You’ll Do
  • Take full ownership of one active construction project at a time
  • Serve as our on-site authority and customer representative
  • Lead daily execution across crews and subcontractors
  • Read and execute from drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Build schedules, assign labor, and coordinate with the Construction Manager
  • Monitor budgets, costs, materials, and equipment usage
  • Enforce safety, quality standards, and OSHA compliance
  • Lead concrete, construction, installation, and electrical crews
  • Conduct inspections and resolve issues at the root cause level
  • Maintain daily logs, site reports, and weekly updates
  • Communicate directly with ownership, fast decisions, clear expectations
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Juggling multiple sites at once
  • Waiting weeks for approvals
  • Fighting unclear authority
  • Living on the road indefinitely
  • Getting burned out by chaos disguised as “urgency”
What It Takes to Succeed
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Construction Management preferred). Will consider non-degree with extensive experience.
  • 3–5+ years leading construction projects end-to-end
  • Proven ability to run a jobsite start-to-finish
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and safety
  • Confident, decisive communicator
  • Comfortable with overnight travel—but values balance and structure
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook (AutoCAD a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug screen
Why You’ll Love This Opportunity
  • Real authority on the site
  • You have a direct line to the President
  • Competitive pay tied to performance
  • Company vehicle + company credit card
  • Company phone, computer, and technology provided
  • A predictable travel rhythm that gets you home most Fridays
  • Health, Dental, Vision Insurance / PTO & Paid Holidays
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 3%
  • A leadership role that respects your time, judgment, and experience
Bottom line

This is a grown-up construction leadership role with clear scope, real authority, and a life outside the jobsite.
