About Us
As an Assistant Construction Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, budgeting, and supervision of construction projects from early development through to completion. You will assist in managing contractors to ensure work meets quality standards, project scope, budget, and deadlines. Additional duties include preparing and submitting progress and cost-tracking reports, interpreting and explaining plans and contract terms to various stakeholders, and performing on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Here’sWhat You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in the initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and others.
- Help ensure contractors meet their scope, budget, and work requirements.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of projects in a logical sequence, allocating the necessary time to meet deadlines.
- Assist in preparing and submitting budget estimates and communicating with clients about budget progress and costs.
- Help ensure budget adherence and make necessary adjustments when unexpected issues arise.
- Assist with RFI responses, submittal review, and coordination.
- Assist with daily reports and quality control management.
- Support the management of the inspection staff.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, organizing, overseeing, and directing activities related to constructing and maintaining structures, facilities, infrastructure, and systems.
- Perform on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Document inspection findings and report any issues or discrepancies to the project manager.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- Basic understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
- Basic understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make quick decisions and work well under pressure.
- Ability to multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
- Proficient with a tablet or laptop.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Proficient with project management software or related software.
