OVERVIEW
Merrick is seeking a Construction Site Manager (contract) to provide to join our team at our project site in Chalmette, Louisiana. This contract position will be located at our client site, not a Merrick office. This on-site contract position is expected to end July 31, 2026.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Responsible for all on-site management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities.
* Responsible for establishing and monitoring job site safety, health, and environmental program.
* Responsible for controlling project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
* Schedule and coordinate all required permit, inspection, and testing agency activities.
* Ensure the quality of field installations.
* Conduct on-site schedule coordination meetings weekly, or as required, to maintain effective communication, coordination, and schedule and cost control.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* This position requires at least three (3) years of experience in construction site management in industrial or manufacturing enviroments.
* Candidates must be local
* Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
* Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
* Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
* Working knowledge of OSHA requirements is necessary.
* A valid driver's license is required.
* This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organization and planning skills are required.
* Time management skills are a requirement of this position.
* This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards.
* This position requires an ability to use computers and software for communication and reporting purposes.
