Field Project Controls Analyst
Location: Project Site (Field Assignment)
Position Type: Full-Time Consultant
Reports To: Project Controls Manager (PCM)
Position SummaryJoin the project controls team supporting the construction of a new compressor station. This field-based role works directly with Project Management, Construction, and contractor teams to track project costs, progress, productivity, forecasting, and performance throughout project execution. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated analyst who enjoys working closely with construction teams and wants to play a visible role in delivering a major energy infrastructure project.
WhatYou'll Do
- Track and analyze project costs, progress, productivity, and performance.
- Support forecasting, earned value, change management, and cost reporting activities.
- Review contractor invoices, daily tickets, timesheets, and progress reports.
- Maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and tracking tools.
- Perform variance and trend analysis to identify project risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate with Construction, Project Management, Accounting, Procurement, Scheduling, and contractor teams.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and management updates.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Project Management, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
- 3+ years of project controls, cost control, construction management, or related experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience supporting industrial, energy, pipeline, midstream, LNG, power, or similar construction projects is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, Power BI, or similar project controls and reporting systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Effective communicator who works well across multiple project teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable working in a field-based construction environment.
- Experience working directly with contractors and construction personnel is a plus.
- Primarily based at an active construction site.
- Frequent interaction with field construction and contractor teams.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Travel to project and field locations is required.
- Work schedule is 10 hour per day, 6 days a week.
