Civil Coordinator
This role oversees and coordinates civil and mechanical construction activities within petrochemical projects, ensuring work meets quality, schedule, and compliance requirements while supporting capital expenditure initiatives.
Responsibilities- Coordinate day-to-day civil and mechanical construction activities across project sites to ensure work progresses safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans.
- Oversee civil construction work, including foundations, structural elements, and related infrastructure, to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor mechanical construction activities to confirm alignment with project requirements and integration with civil works.
- Provide civil construction oversight throughout all project phases, identifying issues early and driving timely resolutions.
- Lead and perform civil quality assurance (QA) activities, including inspections, documentation, and verification that work meets applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Support and track capital expenditure (capex) projects, ensuring civil and mechanical construction activities align with budget, scope, and schedule.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate work sequences and resolve field conflicts.
- Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation related to civil construction oversight and QA activities.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture on site by reinforcing procedures and best practices during civil and mechanical construction activities.
- At least 5 years of civil construction oversight experience.
- At least 5 years of civil quality assurance (QA) experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working on petrochemical construction projects.
- Experience coordinating both civil and mechanical construction activities.
- Knowledge of civil construction standards, codes, and quality requirements applicable to petrochemical projects.
- Ability to oversee and verify compliance with project specifications and QA processes.
- Strong coordination and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- TWIC credential active or previously held is preferred.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting capital expenditure (capex) projects.
- Background in both civil and mechanical construction environments.
- Familiarity with petrochemical facility procedures and site access requirements.
- TWIC active is preferred for site access and project support.
The role operates within petrochemical construction environments, where the Civil Coordinator works closely with field teams overseeing civil and mechanical activities. The position involves regular presence on active construction sites, including outdoor and industrial areas, and requires adherence to site safety procedures and access requirements such as a TWIC credential where applicable.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plaquemine, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
