As the Construction Manager, you’ll serve as the field leader for early‑stage transmission and substation construction projects, ensuring safe, high‑quality execution from project kickoff through construction readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day field execution and contractor oversight.
- Serve as the primary link between field operations and the Project Manager.
- Review contracts, schedules, drawings, and project requirements to ensure successful delivery.
- Champion a strong safety culture and enforce site safety standards.
- Coordinate project kickoff meetings, contractor onboarding, and site readiness activities.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, schedule, and environmental compliance.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and field records.
- Partner with engineering, environmental, safety, logistics, and land teams to resolve challenges and keep projects moving.
- Support outage planning, material coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Deliver timely, accurate updates to project leadership and key stakeholders.
- Experience managing transmission, substation, utility, or heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, schedules, and field execution.
- Experience overseeing contractor safety and quality programs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with project controls, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Unifier, or similar project management tools is a plus.
This role combines field leadership with project coordination and reporting. You’ll spend time at active construction sites, in project trailers, and working with digital tools to manage schedules, documentation, and project performance.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Orleans, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
