HSE Coordinator

• Assist in the overall supervision and administration of project safety
• Coordinate project safety efforts to prevent accidents and injuries
• Communicate project safety conditions to the HSE Manager, HSE Director, and project supervision
• Develop and conduct field safety orientation training
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and working conditions daily for regulatory compliance and safe work practices
• Observe workers’ use of prescribed safety equipment
• Inspect fire-prevention equipment, first-aid supplies, and other safety devices
• Test work areas for hazard exposures such as noise and toxic substances
• Prepare daily reports with findings and corrective-action recommendations
• Investigate accidents to establish root causes and recommend preventive safety measures
• Document accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions, and unsafe behavior
• Assist with development of JSAs, the corporate SHMP, and project-specific safety plans
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and instruct workers on safety practices and requirements
• Demonstrate equipment use and conduct safety training

• 5 years of construction experience
• 1 year of experience as an on-site safety person
• OSHA 30hr card for the Construction Industry
• Completed First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• Specialized training relevant to scope of work
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and hazard control methods
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
• Preferred:
  Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)

Demonstrates expertise in project safety supervision, regulatory compliance, and hazard control methods, with a strong focus on effective communication and training in safety practices. Proficient in conducting safety inspections, accident investigations, and developing safety plans tailored to construction environments.
