Gregory Construction is seeking an experienced Conduit Superintendent to lead conduit and underground utility construction operations across our growing project portfolio.

We’re looking for a proven field leader who knows conduit work
—someone who has spent the last 3–5 years operating at the Superintendent level and can take ownership of crews, production, safety, quality, and schedules in the field.

This is a travel position. Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively to projects throughout the Southwest, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions. Extended project assignments may be required.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead daily field operations for underground and above-ground conduit installation.
  • Oversee concrete-encased duct banks, electrical raceways, handholes, pull boxes, vaults, and associated utility infrastructure
    .
  • Supervise and provide direction to Foremen, Operators, Laborers, and subcontractors
    .
  • Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Drive production and keep crews focused on project milestones and schedules.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate excavation, trenching, backfill, compaction, and related civil activities.
  • Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable NEC requirements.
  • Lead daily safety efforts and enforce Gregory Construction policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Identify field conflicts, utility conflicts, constructability issues, and changing site conditions before they impact production.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, General Superintendents, inspectors, utility representatives, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Track manpower, production, equipment utilization, materials, and daily project documentation.
  • Mentor Foremen and field employees while building accountable, productive crews.
  • Take ownership of project performance from mobilization through completion.

These responsibilities reflect the core duties in the current Gregory Construction Conduit Superintendent JD.

What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of recent experience working at the Superintendent level in conduit, underground utility, electrical infrastructure, or closely related heavy civil construction.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of underground conduit systems and duct bank construction
    .
  • Experience managing multiple crews, Foremen, equipment, subcontractors, and daily field production.
  • Strong understanding of excavation, trenching, backfill, compaction, and utility construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, utility drawings, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work, solve field problems, and maintain production.
  • Strong safety mindset and experience enforcing jobsite safety expectations.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying schedules when projects require it.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively and remain on project assignments for extended periods.

The existing JD requires substantial conduit/utility supervisory experience, plan‑reading ability, a valid driver's license, schedule flexibility, and extensive travel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience with large‑scale duct bank and underground electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on fast‑paced heavy civil projects with multiple crews and scopes.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic field reporting systems.
