We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support a short-term Dock Construction Project . The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing civil and/or structural construction projects , with experience overseeing field activities, coordinating contractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications.
This is a night-shift contract position expected to last approximately three months.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee day-to-day construction activities for the dock project.
Coordinate subcontractors, contractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable safety requirements.
Review drawings, plans, and construction documents.
Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with project stakeholders.
Track project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment.
Conduct field inspections and document construction activities.
Communicate project status, issues, and schedule updates to project leadership.
Ensure proper coordination between civil, structural, and other construction disciplines.
Support project closeout and completion activities as needed.
QualificationsProven experience as a Construction Manager, Construction Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar role .
Strong background in civil and/or structural construction .
Experience managing construction activities in a field environment.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Strong contractor and subcontractor coordination skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and make sound field-level decisions.
Willingness and ability to work night shifts throughout the contract.
