Senior Project Manager

Overview

A leading national construction and development organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from planning through closeout.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will provide overall leadership of project administration, financial performance, contracts, risk management, scheduling, quality, and team development. The ideal candidate is organized, decisive, financially astute, and able to build strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, and cash flow.
• Oversee change orders, contract modifications, allowances, field directives, and back charges.
• Manage owner and subcontractor requisitions and payment processes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement plans, and buyout strategies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, cost exposures, and contractual issues.
• Maintain accurate project logs, documentation, and reporting.
• Establish effective meeting, communication, and project-control processes.
• Build productive, professional relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Lead quality management, inspections, deficiency resolution, and project closeout.
• Develop and mentor project team members and promote consistent use of standard processes.
• Take decisive action to address performance, schedule, financial, and contractual issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant construction/project management experience
  , depending on project size and complexity.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, financial management, scheduling, and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver profitable projects.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions with incomplete or changing information.
• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills with a professional, fair approach.
• High level of initiative, accountability, and adaptability.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing project teams.
