About the Role

Join the world’s largest HVAC company. Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Learning Content Developer to create, maintain, and catalogue digital assets for Daikin Learning. The role works closely with Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts to support eLearning, video, audio, and instructor‑led solutions, and to lead mid‑size to large projects. This position requires technical content experience in highly engineering topics.

Location: Plymouth, MN – Hybrid

What you will do
  • Content Development (40%) – Create engaging learning content for digital and in‑person solutions (eLearning, videos, schematics, technical models, etc.). Design based on storyboards, design documents, and other instructional design artifacts. Provide multimedia and interactive design consultation. Build learning content using tools such as Articulate, Vyond, and others. Collaborate with learning and business teams to convert highly technical concepts and specifications into digital assets and learning designs.

    Follow the development process through Alpha, Beta, and Gold phases.
  • Interaction / Graphic Designer (40%) – Design effective eLearning through intuitive interactions that support learning. Apply graphical and visual design techniques for modern, aesthetically pleasing designs. Use approved software to develop effective learning content.
  • Process Improvement and Knowledge Management (10%) – Provide internal expertise for content management and quality control. Establish templates and style guides for efficient, consistent development across projects. Document processes and coach team members on templates, guidelines, and best practices. Research and lead on the latest design/development tools, practices, and technology.
  • Project Management (10%) – Work concurrently on multiple projects, forecast completion dates and effort. Lead and guide other content developers. Coordinate internal and external resources throughout the development process. Manage the end‑to‑end design and development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, User Experience (UX) Design, Digital Media / Multimedia, Communication / Media Studies.
  • 5 years of experience with learning or engineering authoring/design tools such as video production/editing, Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Articulate, Vyond, CAD Design, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D simulations, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of sales, service, and/or corporate training topics.
  • Robust understanding of multiple design/develop tools, modalities, and technology.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead other team members.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a team‑oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, User Experience (UX) Design, Digital Media / Multimedia Design, Communication / Media Studies.
  • 6–8 years of learning content development experience with various modalities of design.
