Customer Service Rep, Bilingual, Call Center / Support
Location: New Orleans

GENERAL DUTIES- Process incoming and outgoing communications courteously, maintaining a positive and professional image.
- Answer incoming and outgoing calls using the proper customer service standards.
- Monitor and respond to all emergency alarms located and/or received in the department.
- Utilize overhead paging for hospital business and operate all peripheral equipment.
- Process incoming calls for hospital information based on different code for emergencies.
- Handle calls, staff, and patients/guests during an emergency situation.
- Process calls for service of hospital issued pagers, requests for new pagers, and replacement pagers.
- Maintain beeper list and assign personnel according to type of pager.
- Learn all different panels, alarms, and what they are for; notify appropriate personnel when an alarm triggers.
- Operate switch keys to make connections and relay calls on switchboard equipment.
- Know and follow all Health and Safety policies.
- Identify equipment that requires repairs and request and follow up on repairs.
- Complete incident/accident reports according to organizational policy and maintain accurate documentation.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR applicable years of experience considered in lieu of education.
- Preferred: 6 months of experience working with PBX, call center, and/or customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Effective communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle emergency calls in a professional and calm demeanor.
- Flexible schedule required to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation, which includes weekends, AMs, PMs, and holidays.
